Home is where I feel loved. A safe haven from the storm. A place where I can let
my hair and guard down, comfortable in sharing all that I am. Tears running down
my face in laughter or pain, when I’m home, it’s okay. You are my home.
Woman that loves you with all her heart and soul
I may trip over the entanglements of life, but Lord I hold fast to you. You’re the only one who will pull me through.
In a world like a wormhole, brimming with alternative facts, flip side realities and alter egos, your love never fails.
Your grace and mercy never change, yet are new every morning.
Your love is like the galaxies; never ending and always something new to discover.
Lord, I hold fast to you. You’re the only one who will pull me through.
Life, when it’s real, is messy.
It doesn’t always look like postcards, fashion magazine pages, red carpet photos and movie reels.
It challenges the neat little box of what we think life should look and feel like.
Spurring us on to dig deeper, to be more honest with ourselves, others and more importantly, you.
In our messiness, you don’t cast us off or throw us away; you desire to draw us closer. To show us how you see us, the people around us and situations we face.
You engage us to love on us, give light, necessary correction and always direction to our path.
You never turn away. You’re always there, waiting for us.
You remind and reassure us that while we’re not perfect, we’re perfectly loved.
Every tear has a story. Some tears are shed in sadness, repentance, anger or joy.
Yet, some tears fall because of standing in the awesome presence of God.
Overwhelmed by his grace, mercy and amazing love, the saturation of his spirit in
our hearts is expressed in uncontainable tears.
No matter the reason, tears are cleansing for the soul.
Before making assumptions or judgements, know the story.
I’m with you, baby. Over the mountains, through
the valleys and flatlands. I’m with you.
Looking into your eyes is enough
Holding your hand is enough
Laughing with you until I cry or being with you in complete silence is enough
Knowing that you love me and you’ll always be there is enough
We’re complete people in our own right, but interlocking halves of the same soul, and that’s enough
That’s all I need
